| Colour standards in Australia Stream recognises the importance of necessary printing standards in Australia and the world today. Stream’s significant influence on the printing market allows us to help guide Australian printers through this printing revolution. Following on from the '08 Supplier Conference, Stream has been implementing our Colour Management Compliance Program. Since January 2009, we have been auditing our auditing their offset lithographic supplier base - measuring colour performance and reporting on results. This program is a part of Stream’s supplier accreditation process. Standards assessed in the program include: ISO12647-7 Graphic technology – Process control for the manufacture of half-tone colour separations, proof and production prints – Part 7: Off-press proofing process working directly from digital data. ISO12647-2 Graphic technology - Process control for the manufacture of half-tone colour separations, proof and production prints – Part 2: Offset lithographic process. The benefits for suppliers Results All collective results will contribute to the promotion of ISO standards printing to Stream’s customers and the wider community. AU/TC130 Technical Advisory Group The LIA approached the industry’s peak body PIAA and together they formed a strategic partnership to introduce the first Australian Standard. This group – called the Australian Technical Committee 130 (or TC130) is now the officially recognised Australian representative for ISO colour standards. The TC130 website colourstandards – Your pathway to world quality gives user friendly industry advice to printers and suppliers regarding ISO implementation and full compliance. |
